Which Sovereign?

I have owned a couple Excalibers & Sovereigns in the past including the Sovereign GT all of them found me the Gold rings I was looking for. I've heard that the original Sovereign is supposed to be the best Sovereign model to have, can anyone tell me which model of Sovereign is the best for salt water beach wet&dry and why?

work about the same.id stick to the last 2 made the Elite ot GT as some of the parts for the older ones are getting harder to get.they are the best beach machine iv ever used.GT or Elite with a S12 coil is a great match up on the beach!

I think all the Sovereign units are great.My favorites Sovereigns in order,GT,XS,Original,Elite,XS2A. Favorite coils 10 inch Tornado,800 Tornado,BBS 800,Coin search 8 inch,S-8,Older style S-12,last and very worst coil used the Big K 8 inch concentrate coil. HH Ron
