Which to buy

I am looking to buy a new detector. I own 2 now(Whites Classic ID and a Fisher 1236x2) and would like to upgrade to a better one. ($700-800 range) I would sell the Whites. I'm leaning towards another Fisher, any suggestions?

What type of hunting will you be wanting to do with the new Fisher? BEAR

I mostly detect for old coins in parks and schools with a 1 week trip to the beach. But my 1236x2 works great at the beach so that is not important.

For the best machine for coin hunting, relic hunting, beach hunting, and overall ease of use...the CZ-70 would be my clear choice. Lifetime warranty, weatherproof, killer beach hunter, one of the deepest silver hunting machines out there.

I would recommend a CZ and analog or digital is your choice..Visiting a local dealer may help. As Mike says the CZ70 pro is a nice one for those that prefer digital, however CZ3D or CZ5 analog is a nice unit also. One of the deepest out there( Hmmm )in actually coil for coil may be the deepest out there and I have tried a lot of different units..Either way a CZ would be my choice and let the analog or digital up to you...

Not sure of the price but have heard the Coinstrike from various forums seems to be working really well for coin and relic hunters.
It may be more then your budget. Do you have a local shop where you could try various models?

I`ve narrowed it down to a CZ-3D, CZ-70 OR Coinstrike. The CZ-70 seems really confusing. Mostly hunting for older coins. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

Its only confusing because you don't have one in your hand..CZ's either analog or digital are surely the most user friendly potent unit on the block..Coinstrike has a learning period for sure but many do well with them also..Again buy the CZ of your choice and a couple of hours in the field will find its very easy to setup and hunt with.

I`ve decided to go wiyh the CZ-70. Until my new one comes, I`ll keep plugging away with my 1236-X2. Thanks again <img src="/metal/html/super.gif" border=0 width=26 height=28 alt=":super"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~">
