Which would be a better coil to use?

OK I have a GTA 1000 with a crossfire 8in round coil. Quite happy with it. I for got that when I bought it I got a brand new Scorcher 5x10 elliptical coil with it. This was a few years back. I use this detector mostly for coin shooting. should I change the coil for better results? I will keep it in case either one goes bad.

I believe the 5x10 may be a DD which is designed for heavily mineralized ground. It covers more ground due to it's winding configuration and separates targets better but doesn't discriminate as well as a concentric and loves bottle caps.
