Which would give better depth on the F75 with little iron or trash:
DE, sen 80, disc 4, 1F
JE, sen 80, disc 5, 1F:fisher:

Hi Markg

To answer your question both will give you about the same depth, but the je mode will be more sensitive to much smaller targets and the possibility more EMI. Also you may have a tiny bit more depth in je and de because you are under the disc of 5 which has a way of boosting the sensitivity setting up on its own to if you had the disc at 6 or above. In my way of hunting, mostly relics and then some coin hunting with the old F 75 my settings were --O disc, 99 sen, 4 tones and je mode. Relic hunting this way my buddy and I found 3 gold coins from very pounded CW camps in iron areas. By using the 4 tones, maybe a little crazy to listen too, but if you hunt it enough you get use to it. This way you can hear all the iron and you will also get one of the other tones to tell you that a non ferrous target is co located with the iron. Circle your target as you swing the coil over the target area, if you get just a small beep of the other tones DIG. You may get fooled some of the time but you will also get non ferrous targets that others left behind for you to dig. 2 tones works but not as well as 4 tones and I have close to a thousand hours on the 1st gen F 75. In the same areas that I used the 1st gen I can not run the same settings on the LTD for that is another post sometime.

Get the LTD and you won't have to do tests like this BP mode is by far the deepest and most stable you won't ever have to use the other modes
