Whites 6000 di/sl pro feedback

New member
I am purchasing a Whites 6000 di/sl pro detector in very very good shape. It really does look practically new. I tried it out the other day at the owners house and I ran it on the presets and it seemed to do an excellent job however I just threw the coins on top of the ground. I am going to purchase it. He is asking 275 for it. I am not kidding or exaggerating it really looked brand new. No scratches anywhere!. I just want to know if this detector would hold its own against a detector like the Fisher CZs. I used to own a CZ70 pro. It was my all time favorite detector. I hated I ever sold it. Any feedback on the Whites detector would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a good detector.
Last summer I bought a 5900 di pro sl in mint for $ 150.
Not sure about the price he's asking.
Somebody else may post more info on this one

That's an excellent versatile machine. There are some power-houses today that will go deeper, but this one is decentm for the price, for all-around usage @ coins/relics. It's good on the wet-salt beach too.

As for a comparison to the CZ's you owned, there's going to be some differences: The CZ might have gone deeper, but you will find that this one has more reliable TID's at depth (ie.: you won't be fooled by deep nails). You will also have a background threshold. Therefore if you preferred a silent-search, you'll have to get used to this.

While the needle might seem "old fashioned", yet you will find yourself learning quite a bit of information about the targets, just by the way the needle bounces.
