White's DFX charger jack mod?

I'm really enjoying my new White's DFX. One thing I'd like to change is the method of battery charging. You have to remove the battery pack to charge it, thus losing the settings in the DFX's volatile memory.

Is it possible to add a charge jack to the DFX that would safely allow charging without interrupting the power to the memory?
