whites dual field in fresh water lake

can you use a pi metal detector in fresh water lake ,hear they dont work well in fresh water ,thanks for your help
 
They work fine Clyde, but there is very little degradation of ferrous iron in lakes, therefore every target will have to be examined auditorily, as PIs do not discriminate. If you dig it all, as some say they do, then you will soon look like Popeye, savvy? Good luck with it, but I believe it is a poor choice, for that application.

I get great results with mine in even out black / grey sand lake. Did a 3 gram ring down around 18" yesterday--pretty impressive.
