WHITES PI VS. DP P.I.

I have the DP PI, but never used the Whites. In reading and asking questions, I beleive both are very good machines. The DP is a slower swing speed detector, and with the 11 inch coil, it goes very deep but it's harder to pin point.

The DP has a frequency adjust control where the Whites does not ( I am assuming you are talkin the PI Pro and not the new Dual Field PI) and I think highest frequency on the DP is a little more sensitive to lower conductive targets.

The DP is lighter due to the head phone design, and runs very stable since you can adjust threshold and frequency. I also have the 8 inch coil for the DP PI and you can run the frequency at it's highest and still have the machine stable. It's also a lot easier to pin point with the smaller coil and I don't think you loose hardly anything in the depth catagory. Also, the smaller coil may be a little more sensitive to the smaller targets.

I don't think you can go wrong with either PI. If you get the DP, I would seriously think about getting one with the 8 inch coil. It depends on what type of hunting you are going to do.
