Whites Surf P.I. Pro deep tones

The times I can get out to the beach to detect (Whites Surf P.I. PRO) I'm finding that most of my clad falls in the 2-4" range and most of the deeper stuff I find is iron junk, cans, etc. Any advice on what to listen for on good deep targets. I mostly have it on the presets (any higher and I get to much noise).
