Well how does your TDI rate compared to your other machines? Hunting in your area. My only Pulse Induction machine experience I have is with the Garrett Infinium. Which I can ground balance where ever I've hunted. I certainly can't speak how it would handle conditions in your hunting areas. . Wonder why nobody has chimed in?

Really vague question.

Whites TDI SL for gold prospecting? Unless I was in a situation where no VLF gold specific detector would work like on hot serpentine, I would just stay with my VLF. I have not found the TDI SL to be very sensitive on small gold at any depth past 2".
It is underpowered in my opinion and is sometimes difficult to ground balance. Any Minelab GP or GPX series PI that I have used are definitely more powerful, deeper, have more features and adjustments, and are more sensitive on ALL sizes of gold nugget targets when compared to the TDI SL in bad ground.

If you are using it for coins, jewelry and relics, it should be fine. I like how light it is and the coil selection and price of coils is really good. Minelab PIs are super heavy!
