good question but you should be asking which breaks down less often.

I have both and wouldnt hesitate to pull the trigger on either based on repair. Performance my friend, its all about performance

I've owned both and I'll take the F75LTD anyday over any Minelab product

Although clad king, it appears you have already made your decision, the LTD with its rapid target response is as good as it gets for hunting in the trash, is equally as deep, if not deeper in my ground and your arm won't be numb at the end of the day. Fortunately, I have never had to send any of my Fishers back for repair. HH jim tn

Probably a toss up, and luck of the draw. I've sent in a few machines to FT for service and my experience with FT service has been mediocre at best. YMMV.

I've had EXCELLENT service from First Texas...David Johnson was nice enough to personally intervene on my behalf...Wonder if Bruce Candy ever did that for an average ML user? Then again, maybe he has. I don't honestly know.

From personal experience I can tell you, the LTD is a great machine. If you need repair on any FT machine, ask for Felix when you call to get a repair authorization #.

From non-personal experience I'd lay odds the E-Trac is a great detector too.
