Me, my 2 boys, and my parents went out last night on state land and hammered the morels. Steak and morel mushroom dinner tonight! woooooooooohooooooooooo!

Look at the size of some of them buggers.

Congrats on the morels Matt, they look very tasty indeed.

The weather seemed good enough for morels but there were none to be found. Maybe nextweek.

Meanwhile this little (not really little) buzz-worm was sunning itself in one of our locations. My friend Dave and I walked right passed it (probably less than a foot.) and never even saw it. My wife Pam saw it and got a bit of a shock. Ok, a big shock.

It was early in the morning and I guess it had not warmed up enough for it to get angry at us. It just sat there and we poked at it a bit, took some pictures and moved on.

I don't like mushrooms but I have heard people say to coat them with egg then roll them in crushed Ritz crackers then fry them in real butter. As for the snake, just put on a stick over a camp fire and add salt - mmmmm good eats!!!
