whos using 4 khz and how is it ?

targets

Active member
i plan on using relic mode in 8 and 4 for larger coins and relics so how is the 4 ?? from your experience

I use 4 khz but not for relics alone. It doesn't recover as fast as 8,12, or 18 khz at equal reactivity settings but at least for me it does a great job at iron-infested areas, especially deeper large iron. 4khz Reactivity 3 works very well with heavy bottlecaps, non-ferrous targets will jump out if in Full tones...

Depending on the relics you are after 4 khz may not be the best choice, but you will still find plenty of small low conductors using that freq. If I want to "turn off" a lot of ferrous targets and try to pick coins from trash - and 12 khz is giving me fits - 4 khz will quiet things down and separate the ferrous from non-ferrous targets a lot better in Full tones.

Again, I'm not sure WHAT you're hunting, but this is why I use 4khz at times.

large silver coins . in air tests 4 has slighly better depth agin 8 in relic mode
