Why boost process

I could not detect these targets except using boost process. Double digit depth. Field hunt, mid minerals , sensitivity 60, boost process, disc 39. Perfect two way signals.

Sensitivity was set at max, disc lowered to 16

Wow! I just got the Omega 8000. Thank you for the great info. I thought disc 16 was the golden rule. I'm glad it can be raised significantly in Boost. Thanks again for the info, it sure helped this newbie.

Don't worry about the id in boost. Just dig all two way signals and be surprised.

I first turn the sensitivity up all the way and then turn up the discrimination to control the chatter. I eliminate a lot of trash by doing this and still get really good depth on my Omega and Tesoro detectors . If you think you are discriminating out too much, back off some on the discrimination and then lower the sensitivity to control the chatter.

Give it try.

Good advice. Since I relic hunt in beds of nails, I lower sensitivity while in boost. 39 disc allows me to hear chopped iron. Runs smooth and deep.

Larger chunks but the signal comes back one way. I still hit half reales deep with no problem.
