Oh Wait .......

:super:

I DID !!!

Old ball field started with a '59 mem. Then a few clad later a wheatie. Several more clad later along comes close to a pound of pure lead that produced an overload signal on the 75.
Well I had hopes for silver after the old pennies. But none so far and it was hot.
So I started sweeping in the direction of the Jeep when I got a quarter signal that popped out a ring that is certainly silver and possibly a coin ring.

Next signal was two clad quarters with a third 4" away and 9' later a signal got my attention with a 86-87-88 ID from a depth of 3" my first half dollar, 1905 Barber in well worn form. And its just Beautiful!

Wish you all the same luck. And I will be going back to this spot again

Awesome finds, and congrats on the Barber half ! That is a sweet find indeed :)

Now THATS BIG SILVER! :clapping: Theres gotta be more there...that field may have not been completely hunted, or not at all! Heck, there may be a gold coin in there! If its close to your house, you can work that place for Old Glory! Good Job!

Gad Zooooks what a find!!!! Great detecting Lakota... Thanks for the post.....Z

Thanks guys... Believe when I say that was the last thing I expected when I first look on this field. And when I first plucked the barber out of the ground I thought it was a plain metal disc lol.

Wasn't till I saw the out line of the face that I knew I had something good. And when I spotted the 1905 ohhhhhh buddy, yeah I was a happy camper.

This ground has alot of stuff in it and the EMI is horrible there. Think next time out I'll run tbe 5"

Aren't those babies fun to turn over? Great finds on both the half a ring. Work that spot into submission. It sounds and looks like a terrific one. Good job! HH jim tn

Yeah Jim I have some serious hunting to do there :D that ring brought me to 4 rings for the last three days ( Sat. , Sun. and Mon. ) . Just may have to role the dice and take the girls out for some hunting after work. But man it has been so miserable lately I almost hate to take them.

Only real bad side to this spot is distance, 60+ miles. And the gas ain't gettin any cheaper and my Jeep still loves the stuff like its going out of style
