Keep the threshold steady?? The PIranha had to be used this way IN DRY SAND and I was wondering if all of them share this trait?? I also assume that the New Sand shark had the "VCO" mode added to combat this problem.
Also I thought that "pulse width" refered to the duration of the "window"(looking for low conductive or high conductive items?) not the power level?? (Sand Shark)

I never heard of this.
Now the Piranha, this is a whole different story. It was a very un-stable unit, having a lot of problems. This is no doubt why Tesoro discontinued it. It was a designed based on the White
