Why is my close-ups always fuzzy. I have taken this with a stand to steady the camera but all close-ups are always fuzzy. I am using a Fuji MX-1200 on macro. The shutter speed is 1/60. Do I need special lighting as I have only got the room bulb. I am completely new to this. Sorry about it being on its side.

Certainly proper lighting would add some "snap" to it ... some side lighting would help. Also a good image processing program would help some as well (add a little contrast + sharpness, etc).
Still ... it seems like the macro lens is may be suspect. Maybe your manual would have some hints & tips to improve it's performance.
That said ... your finds are worth any steps you take to show them off ... amazing stuff!!! ;^)
HH ... Gord.
