Well I won't an auction for the bandido II. Was looking at which tesoro I wanted as a step up from my compadre, and this one is very very highly spoken of.
Got it for a good price (I think lol who knows).
So what are your opinions on this machine guys?

is that the one with 2 coils? if so looks nice and no red button :lmfao: same detector as the outlaw basically just 15 years older , looks like a closet queen, so good job.

Yes sir the same one. Got it for a steal in my opinion from what I've seen them go for.
I figure may not be as new as the outlaw but should perform the same.
Are my assumptions correct, in your opinion AJ?

well you cant complain about the price and you will soon see if it works like it looks wack that 7" coil on GB and see what it runs like sure it will be fine !!

I near bought one there are a few around but I don't NEED it

now you can change coils and get full benefit of the coil.

Coming with an 8" donut and a 4" sniper.
I already have a 5.75 epsilon on the way that was intended for my deleon, but I can definitly win with it on this one.
Has been fully tested by another detectorists who lives his tesoros, so I'm happy
In the event of a problem, j hope tesoro still repairs these old models.... :-/

EXCELLENT choice. :clapping:
Being a new user of this unit, please explain your thought on why is an "EXCELLENT CHOICE".
:)
Thanks.

Crap. Accidently bid on the wrong detector.
Now I also own a Cibola.
No GB :-(
Hope it's still a good detector. Got a good deal anyway by accident. GB on the vaq would have been nice

I hope the good reviews live up to themselves. Cibola seems great but withought GB, I worry a bit.
But tesoro knows what they're doing and would offer the machine unless there's some magic with it, just like the compadre.

I want to know how you got the tail on the U that's more pressing on me than anything else :lmfao:

go back watch the video of me with the outlaw same detector as the B2 they find stuff.

also look back at that 5 page book with gold and the Cibola , nice detector does the bizz in mild ground , but now you need 4 pin coils

reality is they are beep and we dig, my motto when hunting gold is disc in the iron range there somewhere and if you cant get down there go home.

I think you swiped that one from me... I was the #2 on that one. Oh well. ^_^

I've owned a couple of Bandido II ŲMax's and they have performed exceptionally well. I've found several old coins at 6-7 inches deep in some hard hit areas. It's my primary high iron trash hunter these days. I only use the 5.75 (6 inch) coil on it. It really sniffs out those hard to find coins that other detectors just can't seem to find. I recently found a nice 14k gold band with it at a very old school. Best of luck with your new Bandido 2 it's a good machine.

I have the Vaquero and the Cibola. Don't lose any sleep over it!

So, the cibola is still good without the GB?
Just did order the mod stuff.

So you're in Michigan, right?
I wouldn't give a second thought about lacking GB in that soil.

Well, it's all just an opinion. If you add GB to the Cibola, it still won't be a Vaquero. But since the Cibola doesn't have a warranty, you have nothing to lose.

The biggest improvement I saw was taking the new 11x8 RSD coil off the Vaquero and putting it on the Cibola, a significant increase in depth. Others have told me the 11x8 didn't do much for them, so that has me at a loss. I would think a 11x8 DD coil should whip a 9x8 concentric on depth. I added a 11x8 to my SIlver uMax, same significant increase.

What caught my attention, the frequency of the detectors makes a lot of difference. I have a SIlver Umax (10kc). While almost as deep as the Cibola/Vaquero on silver, try a gold ring and you'll see the difference. The lower frequency struggles... That's where the Cibola/Vaquero/Tejon(14.5kc) shines. (also the higher frequency loves iron-relics!)

But the main thing is to have fun! And post your findings for everyone to see.

ps: just to have fun, I'll say your Cibola before the mod will beat your Bandito on depth! lol

Yes michigan.
I'm not too worried and the freq switch allows you to go up or down slightly on the GB anyway.
But I ordered the components and will be doing the mod anyway. Warranty is void already.
Can't wait for the bandido to arrive!!

Haha I'll do a test about that, but they are two totally different machines. And I know it won't be a vaq, but at least be closer to the settings of one.
I've heard great things about this mod on the cibola.
But I also couldn't pass up on the bandido.

And I'll try running it stock for a while too. Just to see if you're right about the depth haha

Congratulations! I think you'll like it more than you would the outlaw. The audio on the older units is way more descriptive. Mine should be her by the end of the week!
