Will other brand LOWER shafts fit a SAFARi ?

Safari shafts, seem to be very expensive, except for the one that I bought from GILLY, here on FINDMALL. I would like an additional shaft, or, two, because the SAFARI that I bought off of eBay, apparently came without a lower shaft.

I have a Tesoro Silver uMax, and have bought lower shafts for it, reasonably priced. I just wondered if there are other brand shafts, that would fit the SAFARI, that are not in the $50-$60 range, that SAFARI lower shafts seem to be...again, with th exception of GILLY, who sold me a shaft at a very reasonable price.

Any alternate maker lower shafts that will work?

You could use the lower shaft from an Etrac or Explorer.You would have to do a lot of modification to make the shaft
from another brand work on it.You can find the minelab lower shafts on the auction channel sometimes. Gary

Thanks, Gary, for the info on the shafts and that other brand shafts would require modification. Something that I am probably not willing to attempt.

When you say that the Safari shafts on on the "auction channel" is that another website, or, a reference to the classifieds on Findmall?

You could try a Want To Buy Ad on the Accessory Classifieds on Findmail , or have a search on Flea Bay (Metal Detectors)
