Will the liquid in LCD freeze? I went detecting Christmas day and the temp. was 13 deg. f. when I started hunting and never reached 32 deg. in the 6 hours I hunted. I had no problems, but I have sence read that the liquid in the display will freeze. Is this a fact or is it fiction?
Thanks in advance Ed in Mo.

I've ran tests on LCDs down to -55 degrees C.
... never saw one freeze. They usually begin to fade out as the temperature drops and eventually stop responding. Once they warm up, they return to normal operation.
13 degrees!! You are really dedicated.
