Winter Gold

I'm not normally a beach hunter, but certainly have cabin fever like anyone else up north. The ground froze up just after I tried a new spot that turned up 6 large cents the first day there. Can't wait to get back there. A couple of weeks ago we had a warm day so I figured I would head off to a beach about an hour away. Over the last couple of months anything above freezing seems like a warm day. Low and behold, after about an hour on the beach I pulled out an 8 gram 10k school ring. I went back a couple of days ago and although I didn't find any gold, I did find a silver Washington quarter which was a first for me on a beach. It's pretty encrusted so I didn't even bother to show a pic, but it is silver.

Nice find!
