Wireless Headphones

New member
Has anyones used or heard of wireless headphones for the 705, and if so, do they work well?

As mentioned before, Radio Shack Auvio 283's, think I got that right, work but are hard to find. TDK WR 700's also work well but are on the ear headphones.

I'm using the Auvio's on my 705 and they work great.

Here is the previous thread.

Those sound great, but nobody has them. Was hoping to find something else that would go over the ears without a bunch of modifying.

I just received a pair of Rapoo H3010 from ebay 2.4ghz and am charging them as i write this. They are extermely lightweight. i will be using the tomorrow with the 70 and will give a report....Pete

jablonsky,
Yea, I agree with you that it would be great to be able to find a brand of wireless that would be made for the MD market without having to make major mods.
Some of my thoughts:
-wireless Kleer technology (no delay)
-comfortable over the ear or wireless and/or earbud option that work off the same transmitter
-built in volume controller for each ear
-maybe a way to convert them for use only on only one ear (like rattlers)
-high quality sound (with adjustable base/treble if possible?)

Guess the manufacturers feel it would cost too much and would have to be sold for more than the market would pay. Boy, they really don't understand the metal detecting obsession:rofl:

Again, I think there is a great manufacturing opportunity for someone that understands the technology and loves :detecting: I'm sure we'll hear about it on this forum if it becomes available.

I use Auvio 2.4 GHz 33-284s on my XT 70. They are great . No more taking off headphones or wires to hassle with while uncovering a target. The threshold is audible at 30 ft from detector. I have an extra set that I bought thinking my wife would use them. No, she would rather dig up crystals. This set is complete with wireless earbuds, wirless transmitter, USB "Y" cord for simultaneous charging of ear buds and transmitter, carrying pouch, four spare silicone ear bud tips and instructions. .I just recharged them and plugged them in to my XT 70 to be sure they still work. Anyone interested? Best Offer. Contact@

I bought a set and had charged them and my wife and daughter found them and tried them on their ipods....they wanted them so I went back to the Radio Shack guy where I bought my first pair found me three more in Houston...20.00 a set!!!

I use the auvios but lately have been using my Bushmasters more and more. The sound is a little louder and clearer. The Auvios are nice and I use them especially when it's hot because they are cooler.
