Sometimes I wish I didn't live in Minnesota cause I would love to detect all year long. The ground is pretty much thawed now, so I went out a few times over the last few weekends. It's sad when 40 degrees and sun feels good. Anyway, enough of the winter blues....Spring is here and I am swinging again!!!

I made my went out to a favorite park of mine that I have been hunting to death, but it always seems to come through for me. It's a well hunted park from the 20's and I have nick named it Merc Park because I seem to find a Mercury dime on almost every other hunt since I have been going there.

Merc Park came thru again with a nice surprise as well. I pulled about 5 Wheaties, a Merc dime of course, Rosie, a little silver ring, and the unexpected surprise of an 1900 injun.

I went down the street to another park but this one dates back to mid 1800's and pulled a 2 more Wheaties, and an 1880 injun.

I'm glad to be swinging again, sore back, arm and all.

Hey Cuz, great to see you posting again. Great start of the season for you especially since y'all just started thawing out up there in the frozen tundra.

Can't wait for my trip up there next month. 5 full days of detecting with my favorite hunting partner. :twodetecting:

Sure gets to be a drag when one week it's nice out and the snow is almost totally gone and then the next week theres 6" of snow again and colder temps. I don't know about you but I think this winter has been long enough....now bring on the spring. A couple of nice finds there. Sounds like a great park and hope many more finds are still waiting for your return. Good Luck and HH to you. :detecting:

Hey Michelob just seen your post.. What part of Minn are you from ?? I'm from Minn to St. Cloud

I guess I could stick with "Mike"...but Cousin Mike has a nice ring to it even though you're not MY cousin:clapping:
Next time...I'll just call you mike I guess:cool:

Nice hunt,we can always hope for Global Warming, but temps seem to be down here in Michigan.

Nice Mike!!!!!!!! Keep on digging op those goodies

Cousin Mike will always work, it does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it. LOL Thanks again Bryce for all the unselfish help and encouragement. You have always been quick to spread the knowledge and help out others. I really appreciate it.

I am in Albertville. About 35 minutes from St. Cloud on 94 towards the Cities. Just last season I did a few hunts in St. Cloud. There are some great parks over there. We should get together and hunt sometime.

No doubt we are going to hit it hard. I will have to pull out the Rocky theme song and get my body in detecting shape again before you get here. Long winter, round mid section. :jump:
