Woke to a big crash in the night!..........

Lot's of freezing rain last night, toss in a little wind and trees start to fall. I rarely get to bed before midnight, but last night I did. About 12:15 am I was woken by a big crash!!!! I went to see if my daughters were OK, because I figured it was a tree from the neighbors that fell on the house. Of course they were already bailing out of bed and headed my way too. I got some boots and a coat on, armed with a flash light I headed out. Had to keep an eye our for downed power lines and such. Sure enough my neighbors huge Maple tree had lost a big limb and it is currently resting on my roof. Thank God it is only the tops of the limb and not the heavy parts. Looks like minimal damage. I got up at 5 am to go and plow ice and slush, and it was an obstacle course on all the roads. Many trees were hanging low enough to hit the truck, they were across the roads in many places.Downed power lines and power outages all over. Again, Praise the Lord that we didn't lose power. Bad news is the ice is not expected to melt till Wednesday and the winds are expected to hang around today. Could lose power at any time. I will go back out later and get some cool pics.

Hey Guy, You take it easy out there! I was out first thing this morning and found the road conditions to be aweful! I'm staying in for the rest of the day.

OH my goodness. Praise GOD you don't have a large amount of damage. Praying y'all keep electricity and stay safe!

You stay safe, me son, by using godly wisdom out among the damages of power lines and trees down....just not a safe territory for anyone to be...even electricians get electricuted during repairing of the downed lines! I am sure glad God protected you from having worse damage to your roof and I pray that your power stays on and that the ice melts sooner than later! All our ice, sleet and white stuff stayed on for way over a week and then it warmed up into the 60's and 70's and all of it was gone in three days! Now, it is raining today...not a lot but enough to make old Arthur feel badly and move slower....been watching the Prophecy programs and it has really been good listening to the preachers' different views! I like prophecy and have gotten a lot of prophetic dreams myself, but not recently as I haven't been as faithful in praying and Bible reading like I was for many years when I really was elated up in the Lord and used of Him when I was going to church. May God Bless and keep you and family safe! Amen! Ma Betty
