No one has brought up about the noise cancel.....In the manual it say's to raise the coil 36cm. Then Noise cancel.

Good question Joe,

Maybe due to most interference coming from the air and the mineralization or targets in the ground may reduce the full effect of noise cancel?

I notice that too as that is how I did my XS II also as it is about 12 inches off the ground, now we know as Minelab recommends it. I felt that it could see the ground plus pick up any stay interference too.
