I hit my IH park Friday and did ok - I'll post tomorrow. Sunday I was out cruisin' and checked out some woods. I ran across this chimney and stoneworks. It was near a hiking trail so I figured it had been hit 'bout a million times. Well, I'm here - so check it out. I dropped the coil and in a few swings I found the metal toy dog (strong signal). About 3 feet away I hit a wheatie. I'm figuring, this aint bad, must not have been hit too well in the past.
Interesting thing is that the area was not trashed out as I expected it would be - surprisingly very little. I only worked about an hour before the thunder showers came and I still have alot of area to cover. I found 4 wheats (not pictured), a 1946 Rosie with a nickel in the same hole (funky signal), a Buffalo nickel (no date), a 1952 Rosie, a 1932 dog license, the metal dog and a few buttons and artifacts.

Sure wish we could hunt the woods here in WA state, but the underbrush is so thick you can't even think about trying to detect in most places around here. Same goes for an old abandoned house or one that has been torn down. If you don't spot them right away and with permission of course and get in there and do some detecting the brush takes over very quick and you are out of luck. GL & HH.
