...after an outstanding summer of digging gold and diamond rings at the beach with the Excal, it's time to get back into the land hunting thing with the Explorer II.
I didn't have much time today so I went to a well-pounded spot that I've hit before and opted for a slow grid walk over an area that has produced a few good finds before. This is a BIG school grounds that goes back to the 40's and before that it was farmland. I've found Colonial stuff on up there, including a lot of silver coins, Indians, etc. Today's hunt only produced one thing of interest...unless you count the live 30/30 round or the 1969 Canadian dime. But the 1000 Reis Brazilian coin from 1922 was unexpected.
Here's how it read...
