Worth waiting for the grandkids

to go along to my cousins and a little shopping, I was a little disturbed they were about 2 hours late and had the wife call while I took the Yellow Feller for a walk in the neighbors yard.

Didn't even take my digger with me but after several iffy sounds I gave in and went back after it. All the way back I kept saying I know it didn't sound real good but I'll dig it anyway just to keep meself occupied and mind off the kids.

Whoopieeeeeeeeeee when I found this silver 1944 half 6" down, doggone thing only ding ..... no ding ding .... no matter how many times I x'd the spot, was that because it was so deep????? After I had it out of the ground and ran the 250 over it it did ding ding ding!

Also found an wheat penny today but that needs cleaned before I can see the date!

It was probably slanted or on edge. You should have tried the twitching procedure I described and you would probably have gotten a belltone.

Normally I use all metal mode then switch to coin mode to verify, a lot of times I have not dug signals like this made, guess it depends on the mood I am in cause I still dig a lot of junk targets tryin to educate myself by seein if my understandings are correct!

Actually when I made the trip back with my digger I think was mumbling to myself about it being another piece of brass junk of some kind! Real glad I was wrong!

Another thing I will mention is that alot of times my neighbor sits out there on his patio quite often, he wasn't that day and I tend to not dig as much when he is watching unless I am sure it is a coin, guess I don't want to look stupid digging up junk instead of a coin, believe me..... he watches when I dig!
