coins and relics right out of the ground!

You sure did. I remember, going back quite a few years, when Minelab and Tesoro were some of the last players to carry those 1/8" female jacks on their metal detectors. After numerous complaints, they switched to the 1/4" jack, which was the standard of the industry. Why on earth First Texas even considered going to a 1/8" jack just boggles the mind. I don't think they did their homework on that one. The only thing I can think of is that they wanted to save some money. Oh well, their choice. I don't own any of the new Fishers, and probably won't for many reasons. This is a Garrett forum, so I don't want to discuss it here. If I mention it on the Fisher Forum, my posts will get pulled, or I will get lambasted. I can however put in a good plug on Garretts based on what I have found using them over the years, and that puts me over the 100,000 coin mark and over 600 rings. And did I say Garretts are built tough?

Metal detecting is a hobby, and hobbys are meant to be enjoyed!

Sounds like a serious case of cabin fever. I hope it breaks soon as I'm actually interested in a Fisher at the moment. What am I doing!:surprised: I think I need my head read.:starwars: I'm supposed to be slimming down on my detectors. I'll see if I can resist the temptation or else I'll fall to the dark side of the force.
Mick Evans.
