Wow, looks like many departed.............

Can't help but notice, lack of activity here.
Wonder if most DeepTech owners flew the coup and bought other brand machines such as the Dues, Notkas and Makro Racers etc.?
So the spotlight is now off the DeepTech units.................................

All kind of reminds me of what happened to the Minelab Musketeer. A revered, respected, deep detector, not all that pretty, without a bunch of bells and whistles,
just got the job done. Most owners held onto them for ages and wouldn't think of selling them. In the closet they went................

Just wonder how many DeepTech units are now closet queens, sure don't see many used ones being sold.

Gather most have been bought for relic hunting as they were really not marketed towards the coinshooter. So a whole segment of all Findmall forum members are lost to other
detector brand sub-forums.

I am hoping to get out there coin and jewelry hunting, once I get better to see how really well the Vista Gold works for that purpose, it might just be a sleeper machine.

Still have my Smart, also bought a Epic coil for it not long before the weather started to get hot. I primarily use it for relic hunting. Most my areas are to grown up this time of year to hunt. Have several other detectors that I use for coin hunting. Cant wait for fall, when I can get out with the Epic coil on some CW camps. What little time I have on the Epic, I am very satisfied with it. It looks like the same thing has happened to the UK market as well, initially it was the machine to be seen with but i guess most or all of the original owners have sold them on and bought other brands, although they are reasonably priced machines and do a very good job the massive price drop in the 2nd hand market is amazing. Its great if you are in the market for one of these machines and on a very tight budget .

But i fear that the initial surge in sales was just to see what all the hype was all about and also the 'sheep following' aspect as well.

well the users that are here alot too are pretty active hunters and might not have the access to post stuff often so I don't think its lack of selling out the thing it makes kind of mad is when folks use these detectors in park or school settings when they already know its not that type of machine to hunt in that envirement to begin with and I notice this machine gets a bad rap for that type of thing so when they buy it and doesn't do as thought it would then people trade after they already know its capabilities .............but anyways let others chase if they wish I know what I got and what it was made for and confidence in this machine for the money will be hard to beat!

The lack of a U.S. Dealer/ service center has really hurt sales here. But, the company is very good and the detectors are really good. The price is really good for the product and they are first and formost designed for relic hunting. However, I do believe there are quite a few satisfied detectorists who just do not post on this brand of detector. It is like having an edge over other detectorists by having a unit that everybody else does not have. Notice how few of these units come up for sale, that says a lot.

it comes in spells but what I like about deeptech espeacially is there always improving design and actually listen to there customers and that if there is really something faulty they will make good on there warranty which some of our American companys should take notice on this and customer service to boot outstanding

I like the Vista Gold as well as any detector that I have ever had but I would love to see a US service center. I know that they tried to line-up some folks but prices were just too high at the time. Hopefully later. !! A wonderful detector with some great people at the helm !!

Richard, the prices now are more profitable ( in comparassion with more than a year
ago, when Vistas was sold from dealers in USA ), because the USD is expensive.
Bulgaria's currency board regime and is linked to the Euro. Our dealer and retail
prices changed complying with this.
Concerning "service center" I think there is a man who can make this in USA :)
But there must be dealers too - to sell.

the deeptechs are just awesome machines!!!!!! the vista gold has brought back to life one site that I've pounded with others and alt of those finds you see were taken from very iron contaminated area's and taking my time and working slow and using the super 6 coil........actually some of my best finds came from the rg 1000 and the RELIC
