Writing on a Grave Stone

Tony N (Michigan)

Well-known member
I think it was C.S. Lewis that wrote this many years ago. Back in the 70's I was reading one of his books and this really struck me funny:

"Erected by her sorrowing brothers
In memory of Martha Clay
She who once live for others
Now she has peace
And so have they"

Some tombstones have funny sayings! There is one about coming where he or she is after they die, but written underneath was scribbled....I won't go where you are, until I know which way you went! I cannot remember the whole saying but I thought it to be pretty good, as Christians should only go up!  :)

God Bless!
