WS4 durability and case suggestion

Well, I'm happy to say that I'm a proud owner of a brand new Deus. Only my second new detector EVER....Lol. Everything looks great albeit a bit dainty. Now I know composites now a days are very strong, and I'm not complaining, but I'm curious how long the WS4 frame will/has lasted folks. I plan on utilizing the accy bonus to purchase the adapter to run my killer bs during the cooler months, but may pick up an extra set of WS4 frames depending on the general consensus of their durability. I'm also looking for suggestions on a soft case. I'll get the hard case for storage but want something to stow the detector in between hunts that isn't twice as long as needed. A padded Whites style case at half the length would be perfect....suggestions?

I cannot give a true indication as i dont own the WS4 headphones as i own the WS5 full set option, but over here in the UK the WS4 headphones have been out for about 4+ years and as the Deus is the most popular detector over here the reliabiilty of the wireless backphones has been superb.

What i do use and they use the same type backphone frame is the wired backphones for summer use on all my other detectors, for the price of these headphones and i am talking about the wired version the sound quality for such a cheap but well built set of headphones is nothing short of remarkable.

Overal the durability of them must be seen as very good, but as you have mentioned you can buy the spare frames just incase, but for the price its always wise to carry a spare set of headphones while out detecting and for the super low price its worth getting the wired back phones as a back up set for ant detector.

Well that's good to hear, thanks for the input. I'm still not sure what would work well for a case that will allow the detector to be collapsed but still assembled. The " star trek enterprise" shape is kinda odd to accommodate..

the frame for the ws4 are like 20 bucks and I would not buy another till/if mine broke....I would get an extra clip for sure....BUt that clip should last forever if you take care and watch what your doing, always double check that the small side is on the small side of coil, and do not have the cable plugged in while putting on the clip.....
