WTB: Alkaline battery holder for Explorer II.

Jim, alkaline battery holders are very cheap, they go for $12.50 at Kellycodetectors, Discountdetectors.com and other Minelab retailers.

Thanks for the information Ace. I just bought a new Explorer II. I thought they came with the rechargeable and a spare alkaline pack. Mine came with rechargeable alkalines and a 8 cell battery charger no extra battery pack. So now I need to buy another pack for back-up set.

NP James, just be careful not to buy the holder for the Explorer XS/S since they're more expensive @ $25 each whereas the ones for the Explorer II are $12.75.

It shows $15 retail for either and to me they look like the same holders, but the stock number is differnt and know the XS will work with the XS II.

Thanks Rick,

They both will work huh? I wonder why the difference in price. I don't think you can buy an after market one that would be cheaper. I want to make sure it is an original Minlab holder. I just bought a new Explorer II and in only came with 8 rechargeable batteries and a charger. No extra battery holder. I noticed on the new battery holder they changed the negative springs. now the batteries are easier to push in. Looks like the springs have less coils and compress with less force. I guess I will order from a dealer like Doc.. unless you sale them.

Thanks James TN

The Price is the same for either one, just the stock numbers are differnt. I think the decal is a little difference is the only thing I see differnt.

I will check my stock and see if I have a extra alkaline pack, if I do I will E Mail you.

Rick
