WTB Coin Plugger Tool

Michigan Badger

New member
I have bad knees and need a good coin plugger tool for hunting private property.

The plugger is a round hole plug making tool to recover coins and rings.

If possible I'd like one with a longer handle.

I've been looking for this tool for 5 years now.

I've seen some out there but they were special made. If anyone knows someone who makes these...me and a lot of other people would like to make contact with that person.

Thanks,

Badger

If you do not mind pushing out the plug by hand, try a bulb planter from any garden supply store. They come even longer then the plugger tool, and work great!

Greg at Transbay Metal Detectors has one that is nice. It doesn't have a long handle but digs a deep plug. I don't see it on his website www.transbaymetaldetectors.com but you can contact him and I'm sure he can email you a picture. I have also seen at Home Depot a bulb plug digger...I think it was called a Ground Hog. It has a long handle with a release lever to release the plug. It also has pegs to step on for getting it into the ground. The downside is that it only plugs about a 5" deep plug and it is large and heavy.
