WTFF is going on ........????

The discourse on the F75/T2/Fisher/First Texas/Teknetics/Bounty Hunter is now filtered and edited??

For most folks who use any of these brands, this is a great way to get both sides of the story.

You know the old adage - What he said, What she said and THE TRUTH???

It is understood that this is a privately administered site and as such, can be managed in any way the owners deem appropriate.

However, there is now only an "officially" sanctioned view on these issues?

Unfortunately, this is NOT conducive to a spirited and intelligent discussion.

I can understand deleting posts that attack someone personally or slander someone......but other than that - let the discussion continue for those who wish to decide for themselves THE TRUTH!!!

but you are right..
There's always this way..<p>

This is correct

There is No Official Sanctioned View here. This page is not supported by Fisher or it's parent company. The views read here are from the readers & the sponsors. You don't have to accept this, thats fine, but this is the way it is.

Unfortunately, this is NOT conducive to a spirited and intelligent discussion.

Spirited and intelligent discussion is fine, but name calling, and rude posting is not. I'm not laying blame to anyone because I was part of it also, but it was time to put it to rest, and put the forum back on track.

Freddie cleaned up the post, and some good ones may have gone with it, so be it, it's the way it went down.

I was lurking when the Tejon came out and guess what? Tesoro sold a durn boat load of 'em due to all the forum drama even though it was not the best detector ever built by a long shot.

Word spreads like wildfire and detectorists come in from all the other forums to see what all the fuss is about and many ultimately decide to find out for themselfs how deep the new Tejon is. Curiosity and hype took over and I bought one myself so I know first hand.

The same thing was brewing right here as I never saw over 1000 views on Finds posts before.

I'm with you man as i too enjoyed readin' all the threads as the fishers forum--both here and T.Depots been dead as a dusty door nail a long while now. A little bickering makes for an interestin' read. But probably a double edge sword for the adminstrators I imagine as leave an 'edgy' post up and expect complaints that its 'distasteful'. Delete that post and get complaints from those crying the "freedom of speech" angle.
A buzz was being created and bounty hunter should a been happy like Tesoro was as people had new debates to read. A Whites user for example may never have even ventured in here before. There was no reason to and i'm a CZ70 man so I've never gone into a Garrett forum- just lurk around here.

I am in the marketing biz myself and its known that any press is an attention grabber that leads to sales--like the tesoro. People don't buy what they don't know about and well over 1000 people saw the new Fisher T75. But if these Fisher forums go back to the usual deadness by the time the new fishers come out in a couple months the buzz will be long gone by then and everyone will be drawn to another controvercy or back in their respective seperated brand areas and not here.

keep that coil to the soil

I'm lurking everywhere...I like to be on the cutting edge so-to speak. I just sold my GP 3000 (just in time) on ebay...Now they come out with a GP 4000 & the GP's are not moveing on ebay...(a good time to pick one up) I have been reading posts on as many forums as time allows because I'm in the market to learn a new detector & naturally want to make the choice based on the experience of others...I'm not really sure what happened here because I was sleeping...but must have been good...maybe...I do know that name calling is bad...Leads to possible bad things happening:starwars: & is not constructive...This is a great hobby for a lot of people...Maybe for others it is JUST TOO Intense & they should take up watching Oprah instead:blowup:Can't we all just get along???:bounty::coiltec::compass::garrett::minelab::fisher::tesoro::poke:

I'm like you. I am looking for another detector to go along with my cz70. I am watching the f75 and also the explorer se. There's not much worse than spending $1000 or more... then finding out is doesn't go any deeper than the unit you have....or NOT as deep. I'm a Fisher man but I like to have another detector for different situations. I will keep the cz70 no matter what comes out though.
I won't buy anything until I have read many posts and talked with many users so I can get all the facts.
Happy Hunting

Hi there hotCZ, I'm also interested in the new EXP. & maybe even an OLD one. I'm just getting to know my MXT & like it more every time I use it BUT Fisher makes excellent detectors & what better place to find out learning curves, settings etc. I'm really interested in seeing what this NEW F75??? Is REALLY about:starwars:
