My good hunting buddy in San Diego sends me an email this morning and attachs a "lost" ad for a yellow & white gold wedding band lost on the beach in Carlsbad. So, I call the guy and he tells where to look and, after work, I head over there and do a nice grid pattern search for about 1-1/2 hours and, just as I am about to give up and go empty my over-flowing trash pouch, a surfer asks me if I had found anything. Nope, 2 cents and a whole bunch of trash, but, what I am really looking for is a gold wedding band for someone. I took my earphones off for a bit and then he wished me luck and I started hunting again. No kidding, on the first sweep, Bang! I scoop out a 2-tone gold ring! I haven't moved from the spot where I was talking to the surfer and I said " here it is". I go home , call the guy, and , he comes over and what do you know? It's not his ring! He has a picture of it and it is quite different. I'm going back tomorrow, and I believe I will it! Monday, I found my first class ring and mailed it to the owner on Tuesday. This guy's anniversary is on Friday, I need to find the ring tomorrow! I'm going to that spot again before work and again after work, if I have to.
