X-terra 305 high signals

Hope someone has had the same experience. I have the 305 and am enjoying getting to know and understand it. However, sometimes I will come across a 44 signal registering about 4 inches. I dig what seems like forever and never uncover anything. I know sometimes I will get iron signals registering up there as well for some reason, but most of the time I get a 44 solid and never get to a target. Any ideas?

If it's a random or one way signal, it's iron. A good target will repeat.

A few questions....... which coil are you using? As you X over the target, does the audio and TID remain consistent? And when you pinpoint, do use the Pinpoint pad or just X over it? We'll see if we can help you figure this out! HH Randy
