X-Terra 705 Coils for Jewelry Beach Hunt

Hi Folks,

Wondering if anyone know which of these two coils would be better suited for jewelry hunt in wet California sand; or is it a toss up?

9" concentric 3 kHz
9" concentric 7.5 KHz

Best regards, Carlos

Neither will work particularly well for wet salt sand, but 7.5kHz is hands down better for the task than 3kHz, regardless of coil configuration. Gold just does not respond to low frequency very well at all. I'm not saying that 3kHz can't find gold, but it's strong suit is silver, copper, and other high conductors.

Just what I needed to know, thank you!
