X-Terra 705 plus the 15inch Coiltek coil.:beers:

The coil's now been on the detector for 3 hrs & so far it is the most impressive setup I've tried on the beach.
I set the machine in all metal mode, sensitivity on 25, did a noise cancel, put the headphones on, took 3 swings & received a beep located in 14 inches of sand.
5 digs with the sandscoop later & out popped a stirling silver bracelet. Find No 1. [sub](paid $295 for the coil & the bracelets sell for $325 in the Westfield shopping centre.)[/sub]
Things only got better after that. I was swinging at one of the most detected beaches in NSW in the "off season" & can't wait till the weather warms up.

I thought the setup would be too heavy to swing for an extended time but I would liken it to swinging my wife's detector - the AT Pro. After the first hour, you stop hurting when the rewards start coming in.

The 15 inch Coiltek is definately a winner & even though I REALLY HATE TO LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG, if you are beach detecting & don't have this coil - you really have my sympathy. Really.
The amount of beach that you can cover in an hour has to be seen to be believed.

Thanks Bob & Judy at Goanna Detectors in Greta for putting me onto this coil. It is already well on the way to paying for itself.
My biggest worry now is that maybe the wife will pull rank & decide that she will "borrow" my detector & leave me with the AT Pro!!!

Congrats on the finds and thanks for the report. Always nice to hear another person's view of a new product. Glad it proved out for you. HH Randy

It looks like a winner. What is it like on recovering small objects? My MF 10.5 coil seems good at recovering tiny fragments of metal, Sometimes annoyingly difficult to locate with a Pro pointer. Its a bit pricy in the UK

I was at Joan Allens and picked up the 15" coiltek last week, and yes its a bit pricey for sure.
I tried it out on the Corfe Castle rally, hills and fields but didn't find much. Some buttons, one hammered on the field, but that was a very broken signal.
The places was at some times really iron infested. So maybe its a chance that I missed some finds,to much coverage.

When I changed back to my 10,5DD MF I started to pick up a lot of finds,5 roman coins in a small area and some hammered Elisabeth I,Henry VIII and Georgian coins. This are small thin coins I am not sure this coil is the best setup for finding small targets.
But at the beaches I guess it must be a killer.

I was another rally in Bedford/Stagsden and was digging small roman and Tudor-relics,so I don't know....have to try it out more.It definitely goes deeeeeep..

Pics are coming!!

Say is that a gold ring as well? I have the 15in WOT coil on my Sovereign GT. Awesome...
