X-TERRA Contest for a Swingy Thingy from Doc's Place.....

Do you suffer from sore shoulders when you spend the day out detecting? Does the weight of those large coils take their toll on your arm? Well, if you answered yes to either of those questions, Doc of Doc's Place http://www.docsdetecting.com (a forum sponsor) has the solution for you. Doc has been kind enough to contribute a Swingy Thingy for this X-TERRA forum contest. For this contest, Doc has provided a picture of a couple gold nuggets he found on October 9, 2011. He told me that the one of the nuggets is an electrum gold nugget which has silver naturally amalgamated with it. From what I have read, it is a rare find. Doc suggested that our contest be to guess the total weight of the two nuggets, in grains. There are 480 grains in a Troy Ounce. Just to make sure you understand the contest....... you are guessing the weight of the nuggets in an attempt to win the Swingy Thingy. Don't expect to get the nuggets. I already asked!

Doc said he will weigh the nuggets after the contest ends on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 9:00 PM CDT. After he weighs the nuggets, he'll get back in touch with me and I'll announce the winner. Then, that lucky individual will get this awesome Swingy Thingy sent to them via USPS. If you are unfamiliar with Doc's Swingy Thingy, I encourage you to take a look at the product on his website, listed above.

The rules of the contest are simple........ guess the total weight of both nuggets, in grains. If you want to make your guess to include tenths, hundredths or just in whole numbers, that is up to you. But Doc will provide the exact weight, and that weight will be used to judge who is the closest. Submit your guess in the subject line, as a reply to this post. One guess per person, please. If two or more people guess the same number, the prize will go to the person who posted first. So my advice is to look at the guesses already posted and make yours different! Good luck to each of you! HH Randy

Just for the record, my website is:

http://www.docsdetecting.com

Kamakazi is very old and has outdated information.

Also, since I invented the Swingy Thingy I have sold over 16,000 of them. It has been called the most significant metal detecting accessory ever invented.

Look at the feedback on Ebay of people actually using the Swingy Thingy. I developed it out of necessity as I had a hernia, hemorrhoids, and a torn rotator cuff. Obviously I needed something to support all that stuff that was falling out of me and swinging around. But instead I got surgery and used my invention on my detector.

The final "piece de resistance" was when I invented the Quick Adjust Bungee Clamp, I call it the QweeGee.

This allows you to instantaneously adjust the bungee to the proper length without even stopping your swing.

Good luck on the contest. By the way no one knows what these nuggets weigh, not even me, as I have not weighed them yet. I will do so at the end of the contest.

Thanks!

Doc

Thanks for the updated website info! I made that change to the original post and (once again) thank you for your generosity in providing this contest prize! HH Randy
