General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Hi. Is this a Thesaurus w the battery flap? I would be interested if it is.
If not perhaps you could tell me why it's the best.
I need a cover for my 705 xterra.

New here-should I have sent my ? as a PM?. Is there no order of response to items one might wish to purchase?

Either way-as to educate myself- I sure would appreciate an answer to my 1st ?. I am looking to buy the best cover I can get for my xterra. Can't say that I'd know one by sight.

Duggr yur kill in me! I would have snatched that up when I bought the X-terra, I spent hours last night searching the forums trying to figure out where I saw that cover before and where to get it.. shoot me PM if you still have any other goodies and if you know where I can buy one of those covers..

yes it was the Thesaurus w the battery flap. Try Ebay UK to find one. The only other thing I have
is a 6" 7.5 concentric coil left for the X-Terra.....$99.00 shipped lower 48...Duggr
 
What a UNIQUE buy & sell forum.

I Express interest (to purchase) pending a few questions-, less than 1 hour after its listed.

Check back periodically -as not to hold up a potential transaction.

There is no forum activity (on this item): no response to my submission and no other responses to this item for sale.

13 hours later it is listed as sold on the forum.

I did inquire as to how this was possible and reiterated my initial questions.

From checking other transactions- it seems that there is a structure to the FOR SALE items in order of RESPONSE.

So what's the deal? Anyone care to chime in? I was a lurker for a while before I joined. Seems like a great site-with this exception. Should I just purchase (and eventually sell) items elsewhere- or is this example an anomaly?
 
OK- that's what I was looking for. Sorry-I'm a very slow typist (started my previous around 7:50am).

I was at work all day and have been under the weather lately....not up to my best....I apologize for not
answering you promptly but did receive emails also from others that were interested also...Even though
you were the only one that posted here I feel I have to sell the first person who contacts me...either buy email
or post here on the forum...Your right I should of contacted you as soon as I returned home but was in a hurry to
post and Lay Down....Again I apologize and this is not the typical forum responce you will receive from other

Mystery and method explained.

I thought -for once- that i had actually come across something that i was actively trying to purchase-first.

I'll find one.

Some other sites I belong to (i.e. Stripers Online) have BST forums. In their rules-1st "I'll take it" gets it. Even with a pending question/description etc. That part has to be visible in the forum-then PM's for info. Saves time & feelings etc.

This site is different in that respect. Live & learn.

I always shoot the seller a PM if I want something saying "I'll take it" and follow up by posting on the thread that I sent a PM. Never had issues with it. The phrase "I'll take it" is key there. Things sell pretty quick here and not a whole lot of time to ask questions about the product unless you say "I'll take it as long as it will work with my xxxx, etc.
