My first 705(long story) said it was Made in USA on the label on the back of the box. My current 705(see long story) said it is made in Australia on label on back of box. I recently bought a 6" concentric coil, which was a leftover from a dealer and it said Made in Ireland on the label of the package. Mine were made all over apparently. I wonder what % of the complete unit is made in Australia and what % is made in asia and just assembled in Australia ?

You know I was worried about this myself. That is why I traded my X-Terra 70. Well flash foward 6 months and I just ordered a 705. The way I look at it the computer I am using, well who knows where it was made? I just decided I wanted the best macine for my $$, Beale.

My 70 works great and has for years. I don't care where it's built.

Quote ( Minelab has production facilities in Adelaide and Malaysia. Different models can be made in both locations, and the manufacture of certain models can be split between the two facilities.
Individual components are sourced from companies all over the world. )
