i noticed that it works great on se .i have the dx1 on my v3i it doesn't work all that great .i think its not all that compatable with v3i they made it for dfx and just let it become part of v3i.had it on my dfx and it worked great ,i just believe it wasn.t designed for the v3i. but thats just my opinion.that said i wouldnt run a detector without one cause they do speed up target recovery
 
Ive heard the X1 is one of the best in lines Ralph has produced. But like detectors.... there are options like the Garrett hand held and others that produce good results. These hand helds may have better depth than some of the in lines and arent detector specific. Obviously there are and always have been advantages for both. Ralphs done us right and another reason to get an Explorer.
