XL Pro and 95

New member
Raining here today so Im bored.
Dont know how many of these signals Ive dug when the needle pegged right and get nothing. Ya know, the needle will peg right, you get a beep and pinpoint, and let me tell ya it will pinpoint many times although Ive read it want. Get a depth read and dig,but ya get to, or just past the depth reading and nothing, pinpoint your hole again and still get the same depth. So sometimes ya think its in the side of the hole and you scrape the sides just in case.
Well, with the notch out machines you can notch this number out, which is good as I also have read this stops the wrap around effect on iron targets. But ya cant do this with the Pro. BUT, what Ive found out after digging all those holes is the sound my Pro produces when it hits that pegged out meter, and I can sweep from different direction and get needle reaction that will peg out or will bounce against the wall to the right, the sound is a tad bit longer hollow sound. Not broken but definetly different than even on iron. This is of course using the SAT mode. So far I havent found a target at 95 to compare but Im sure IF I find a target at 95 the sound is gonna be different, it has to be. I guess what Im trying to say is, if there IS a physical target whether it is ferous or non ferous, the sound will have some characteristic to it rather that a longer hollow sound that I have experienced. Its almost like a BOING instead of a BEEP, whether that Beep is broken or not.
So tell me, have any of you found targets at that number and if so how does it compare to an empty hole sound you have experienced.

Howdy Bowie

The only thing I would suggest is when you turn it on, set it to Hotrock Regect. Good luck.

A boing sound is what we call a cold rock. Mineral rock not a target in motion sat mode.
