XL pro is head jack stereo or mono?

but to answer your question directly......they use a stereo jack, wired mono.

The XLPro (and most Whites models) are built with stereo jacks that are wired mono. In other words, the two speakers of your headphones are connected in a parallel circuit configuration when you plug them in. If you have a set of headphones with a stereo/mono switch, it should be in the mono position for Whites, Tesoro and Troy detectors.

Most Minelab and Garrett detectors require the stereo/mono switch to be placed in the stereo position. This is because they use a stereo jack and the contacts are set up to connect the two speaker circuits in a series circuit configuration.

The Nautilus detectors provide true stereo. They use a stereo jack and require the stereo/mono switch to be in the stereo position to enable different tones to come from each headphone speaker.

Although Whites/Tesoro/Troy and Minelab/Garrett require the stereo/mono switch to be in opposite postions, they all provide the same sound through each speaker in your headphone. As far as I know, the Nautilus detectors are the only ones with different sound coming from each side of the headphones.

Thanks Digger
The reason I ask is because I'm tired of people and dogs sneaking up on me, so I want to use high quality Walkman headphones or detector pro rattlers.
