First off, Hi all findsmall guys n gals. I will be hunting Culpeper grounds here this weekend. So I have a question...........

As a lot of you know Culpeper is some of the worst ground conditions you can hunt. I will be using my deus and I would like to know what settings I should use. Its bad tough clay in the spot im hitting. Ive found if you don't have a PI machine you really are wasting your time. However with my whites mxt-pro I have picked up a few bullets here and there, one U.S. rosette, few buttons and one coin. But they all were not to deep. I was wondering if on 4khz if the deus would punch through harder or what would you all fine deus users recommend??

Please help. Any advice would be appreciated :)

Hello Hunter, how are you bud. What I would do is bury a 3 ringer or a coin about 8 inches and test all 4 freq.testing everything out yourself will give you the best info. You could drive a mile down the rd and the machine might perform different.I am finding that burying a coin/target where I am hunting and testing what works is the best way to get the machine singing my tune. All the best too you.I am looking forward to some footage of your hunts! Here's a link that may help using the famous "red dirt" from the Culpeper, Va area:

Hope this helps!

Hi,
you maybe should using the goldfield program on your V3.x version, it's designed for this kind of soil, just GB your MD and add 2 points to the value, reactivity2 (silencer -1), sensitivity 90/92, if it doesn't work, try reactivity 3. Hope it will be helping for your hunting!
Oh! I forgot, 18 kHz is the best frequency to going through mineralized soils so try it first :)
Bye
