XP Deus Remote / Headphone Volume

Had to send my WS4 puck off for repair. I am planning to hunt tomorrow with the Remote and earbuds. When I plug the earbuds into the bottom of the remote, the volume is pretty loud. Tried to lower the Audio Response setting but that did not work. Guess that is volume for target only. Searched manual, but did not find what I wanted.

Does anyone know if there is way to lower the earbud volume when plugged into the bottom of the remote? As a last resort for tomorrow, I have a pair of Gray Ghost that has a volume control and I have an adapter to go from 3.5mm to 1/4 inch plug but the Ghosts are not very comfortable, hurt my ears after awhile. Also they are hot in the summer.

Have to use an inline volume control.. the remote has no volume control.

Thanks for the reply basstrackerman. Ended up using my Gray Ghost with volume control until my WS4s are repaired. Found 1912 Silver Barber dime that day so I was happy wit the hot headphones. Thanks again.
