XP Deus Shaft in Salt Water

How does the XP Deus shaft hold up in salt water? I have a Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II and the shaft is terrible, has a lot of wobble. All of them do. Was thinking about placing the Sea Hunter coil on my XP Deus shaft for salt water. The Sea Hunter's control unit is waterproof and on my waist. Kind of worried what the salt water may do to the adjustable shaft catches. Thanks.

Thanks Jerry!

I always wash my XP Shaft with warm water even if it is muddy. Just take the Controller off and lower shaft and put it in water, be sure to dry very good after. I got something in one of the locks and when I pulled the shaft out it made a long mark on the shaft, so I always wash mine now.
