...XS 10,1/2 INCH stck coil, just chatters and wont detect, even with coil cover removed, any ideas?

4 days ago about 4 hours into a hunt my 10.5 inch stock XS coil went nuts and started chattering like crazy. I wasnt near power lines and i dont think their was a huge chuck of metal under ground when it started happening. I've removed the coil cover, cleaned the coil, tried detecting without the coil cover. i've tried turning down the sensitivity,. The 10 inch coil looks good and well sealed, could water inside the coil cause this problem? it just chatters and wont detect a quarter on top of the ground. , The 7 inch coil that also came with my XS works Great so i know it must be the 10 inch coil.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem?

If you have a X1 probe, you might check that.

If that checks okay, try some air test to see if it works. Also reset factory defaults if nothing else works to make sure you don't have a setup problems somewhere. If it don't work then, it might be time to send it to Nevada for repair.
