XS/SE Upper Shaft?

The SE and the EII have a slanted end on the upper shaft. The S and XS have a straight end. I am thinking that it might fit but will not be very stable. Maybe someone else has actually tried. If you cannot find an XS shaft you could possibly cut part or all of the angle off, sand carefully and have it fit fine. You would loose one to two inches length though. I bet someone has tried this.
